Thomas Collins
Intellistudent of the Week, 7-7-08
Well, I'd have to start by saying I like a lot of extra-curriculars. I debate in Congress competitions, explain evidence on the school Mock Trial team, perform lead roles in the musicals, and throw shotput for Track and Field, but my favorite would have to be singing for Chamber Choir. The best part is that we get to go caroling at Christmas! I know, corny. But we always get awesome free stuff! Plus, all the extra singing practice helped me to get into the Music Performance major at UC Irvine! Sometimes it gets tough balancing all those activities with homework from AP and Honors classes (I'm taking 8 AP tests this year alone! *die*), but I manage somehow, getting mostly As and Bs. So, when I have free time, my favorite things to do aren't very exciting because I need down time. At home, its Wii, T.V. and the rare eight hour night, but with friends, I love going to bonfires. We hang out together, relax, watch the sun go down, and maybe roast marshmallows...or something more fun. All-in-all, I like to live life in the fast lane, because the flowers get boring if you smell 'em too long, and I don't plan on slowing down.
Thnx 4 reading,
-Tom C.-
