Marocs Rodriguez
Intellistudent of the Week, 12-3-07

So, for anybody actually reading this, my name’s Marcos Rodriguez, nice to meet my fellow “intelligent” peers. I’m 17 years young and plan to double major in Music Education and Political Science at Stephen F. Austin State University as soon as I can register for courses. I’m striving to be a band director/lawyer. I’m taking part in the Dual Credit program, taking college courses while completing regular high school courses. During my stay at Stephen F. Austin I will be enrolled in the ROTC program in which I will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant hoping for entry in the Judge’s Advocate General’s Corps.

When I’m not in the band hall, (which is well…hardly), I actually do other things, although my friends think otherwise. I am in theatre arts, I’m the school’s sound technician. I consider myself pretty smart, otherwise I’d have no reason to compete in UIL academics(academic decathlon) for 3 years. Odd facts ‘bout me: crushed toe, can play all brass instruments, and I hate classical music(odd because most director like it).

Amazingly, doing the thing I love (marching band) hurts a lot due to the crushed toe.

Marcos is not afraid to hit on our resident Superheroine, Intelligrrrl. Gotta be honest, Marcos, if Intelligrrrl had a dollar for every time I got an email about her availability, she sure as hell wouldn't be working at Starbucks and Intellistudent!
