Leah Davis
Intellistudent of the Week, 1-31-07
My name is Leah Davis and I am not a typical 22 year old student, except that I attend Houston Bapist University. I say that I am not a typical student because along with my being a student I also coach a Club Volleyball team of girls ages 14, I work part time for a large retailer, and attend Grace Church of Humble. I grew up in the Spring area, attending, Klein High School playing volleyball and also playing on a club volleyball team for five years in which I played at the Junior Olympics those five years. I mentioned that I would like to sit along side of Lance Armstrong on a flight from New York to LA because in the heighth of my playing volleyball I tore my acl thus having to overcome an injury. I believe that each of us can change the world by starting with those that are around us daily. I can remember while in Elementary school I wanted to be an ambassador to a country where I could make a difference, instead I decided to make an impact on young athletes right here in Houston. While recieveing a double major from Houston Baptist in Communications and Psychology. My favorite quote is "Shoot for the moon, for even if you miss you'll land in the stars."
