Intellistudent of the Week, 7-21-08

I'm from Plano, Texas. It's pretty much the epitome of suburbia so I like to cause a stir whenever possible. I'm one of those people who like to have their cake and eat it too. During the weekdays I work at maintaining my position on the Dean's list and the Texas State Honors college, but the craziness starts when the weekend comes around. I also love to travel. This summer I am studying abroad for one month in Italy. Hopefully next year I will have saved enough money to go on a trip to Asia- probably Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong and maybe Japan so I can visit some relatives overseas. Some of my close friends call me a gypsy because of my appetite for travel. When I'm not busy at school, I'm probably watching movies. Ask any of my close friends, they will tell you that I am a formidable opponent when it comes to movie trivia. It's a useless talent, but I'm proud of it. Some of my favorite movies are Equilibrium, Hot Fuzz, Memento, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Snatch, the Boondock Saints, 300, Howl's Moving Castle, Sin City, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Dot the I. There are so many more, but those are the ones I can think of quickly at the top of my head.

I'd list my favorite movies too, Julie, but most of the titles would be too vulgar, so I'd better not.

Sounds like Julie the Gypsy has got the world traveling thing -- and the school thing -- perfected.
