Cassondra
Intellistudent of the Week, 10-15-07

Hey, my name is Cassondra (yes, named after a greek goddess...fancy that). I am a third year student attending Oregon State University and majoring in General Science with a Pre-Dentistry option. My goal is to someday fix teeth all day, hopefully as an orthodontist (meaning, 10 years of school total ladies and gentlemen)! My original major was psychology, but as I learned more and more about it, I realized that sometimes you just CAN'T fix people's crazy problems; however, with dentistry, you drill it and you fill it, and you send them on their way, all fixed and pretty --- that sounds a lot better than years of pointless counseling! Ok, but really, dentistry sounds like a lot of fun to me, even though I was scared to death of the dentist when I was younger and had to be put out with "happy gas" every time I went.

Other than slaving over my studies, I like to play guitar, sing, draw, meditate, write, and the occasional fiesta here and there. I grew up on a farm in a little teeny tiny town called Brooks and went to a horrible high school near by. I decided I was ready for a change, so I packed my bags and moved to Europe, where I lived in Belgium, France, Italy, Amsterdam, and finally settled down in England, where I attended the University of Southampton. Those Brits over there are hilarious and I had a great time, but came back to persue my dental degree.

Seriously, if I could give one piece of advice, it would be to GO OUT AND SEE THE WORLD because life is WAY too short and when you look back on your life, you don't wanna be like, "Wow, I'm a big loser and just sat around playing Nintendo!" - hey don't get me wrong, I love nintendo and I am a Mario Kart champion, but inbetween games, try to do something really memorable with your life! You'll never ever regret it!

Hmmm... other than that, I've got 6 pet chickens, awesome parents who are my best friends in the whole world, I'm single (for all of you intelliguys out there), and that's about it!

I'm going to take the high road and skip the "6 chicken" thing, and Cassondra, dear...there are a couple of little things they have out now called PS3 or XBox...you may want to look into those
