Amanda Hensley
Intellistudent of the Week, 10-8-07

Hello! My name is Amanda Hensley. I don't know what to say so I'll just start off with the basics:

I'm from a very small town in Kentucky, lived on a farm my entire life, have three older sisters (Sara, Barbara and Donna) and 4 nieces (Jaelynn, Micayla, Brenna and Emily) and 4 nephews (Logan, Calvin, Dalton and Bryan) which I love to death!

I'm close to being done with my third semester at Northern Kentucky University and I think I might have just decided what to do with my life. I'm going to major in journalism and minor in photography; even though photography is my passion (but because it probably wont pay the bills it's my minor lol).

I have a wonderful mom and dad who have supported me throughout my life and through college, even saying if I didn't want to go they didn't care, as long as I was happy. Which was really nice. In February I will celebrated 3 years with my boyfriend Ian who is here at NKU with me :D

I'd just like to say I'm really happy I was chosen to be an Intellistudent of the Week and if you ever need a photographer call me!

Btw it was really hard to pick just one picture to put up here because as a photographer I have a million, but only a few of myself, I like to stay behind the camera, which reminds me I have a poem about that.

Behind The Camera

Is a picture also worth a thousand words, With as many details as what the photograph shows, That is often unseen and not thought of.

Behind The Camera Is the eye that saw something worth photographing, Something worth freezing in time, Something worth sharing to the rest of the world.

Behind The Camera Is an artist at controlling light, Setting the camera for the image in their mind,. Their eyes their viewfinder.

Behind The Camera Is a person, A story untold, A photographer.
