Is there a way to know if you're dating someone
who believes in the LDS reliegion before I
get too far into the relationship? One of
the hardest things to do in life is to find
a great mate with similar beliefs. Finding
someone with whom you want to spend the rest
of your life with is a pretty big deal. It
would be nice to know, though, if the person
is LDS (ladder day saints) like me before
I get too far into things. LDS dating is not
any easier than dating in any other particular
race or religion, but that does not change
the fact that it is a challenge. Is there
a way to make LDS dating easier, though? The
answer is to find ways to know if your date
is LDS before you get too far.
LDS dating or any other specific
dating can be best sorted out through
the use of the ever-popular personal ad.
There are basically two kinds of personal
ad: print and online. The two types do
not differ all that much in terms of how
they help LDS dating, so it is up to you
to determine which will work best for
you.
One option for expanding your LDS dating
pool is the newspaper personal ad. The
advantage is that it can be, by the very
nature of a local paper, concentrated
into a particular area. If you are interested
in LDS dating locally, a print ad will
concentrate only as far as the paper reach’s.
Newspapers do, though, often charge by
the word and only allow you to then run
your ad for a certain amount of time.
So take that into consideration in your
decision
Your second option in terms of LDS dating
personal ads is to use a service on the
internet. An online ad will expand your
search to, basically, the world. There
are even sites dedicated specifically
to those wishing to take part only in
LDS dating. Most online personal ad sites
offer to run your ad for a monthly fee
and others are even free. Shop around
to find the one you feel will be most
effective for you.
No matter what method of LDS dating personal
ad you use, there are some things to keep
in mind when you create it. Though you
will be tempted to embellish or flat out
lie; be honest in your ad. If for no other
reason, keep in mind the disappointment
you would feel if your date had lied.
Second, be brief since nobody wants to
read your autobiography. Finally, be clear
about what it is you are seeking. If you
are interested in only LDS mates, then
say so. It will save you and other people
from wasting time.
Dating is difficult and it always will
be. Dating and trying to be specific within
your own race or religion and can make
things even more difficult since you do
cut your field, but you have to stick
to your guns. So, if LDS dating is your
goal then it can be very helpful to find
ways of knowing about your dates’ religious
affiliations before you get out with them
and realize you are too different. A personal
ad can help potential mates knows about
you as well as your desire to continue
LDS dating only. Choose the type of ad
that will work best for you, but which
will offer you the opportunity to make
clear your wants. Hopefully by taking
out a personal ad you will be able to
find LDS dating just a little easier.
