Pull up a chair, ne'er-do-wells -- we're about to tell you the MOST IMPORTANT thing that you can do to prepare for your future in the real world. This is it -- #1 on the whole damn list. You ready? It's called "networking." Yep -- sounds simple, doesn't it? That's because it is, unless you are a meekling. You're gonna have to stick your hand out, spew out your name and get to know people if you really, really want to make some waves in the real world. Join groups, go to conventions, trade business cards, chat up transients and gypsies -- whatever you have to do to network, DO IT! At first it will seem pointless (and horrible for most of you), but down the road you'll see what we're talking about. It means everything.
